Aika versus the Ninja’s of evil
Final Product - level 6 Technical Artist summative
High in the cold mountains above the land of Kyutoshi, a lone female Samurai, Aika Sakamoto guards the gateway mountain pass, protecting the people from attacks by the evil Ninja emperor Ankoku Kumori. Emperor Ankoku wishes to capture the people of Kyutoshi and make them his slaves, converting some to his demonic Ninja ways to build an army to rule all of Asia.
USER INTERFACES
I have custom designed multiple UI's to assist the user in controlling my rig. Camera's constrained to each interface allows for easy viewing and interaction. However UI's can be viewed in perspective or hidden through groups.
BLENDSHAPES
Custom blendshapes have been linked to custom UI's for easy control options. Individual facial aspects can be manipulated to create users custom expressions, or presets are available for efficiency.
SCRIPTING TOOLS
For my rigging project, I utilized my knowledge of scripting to create useful tool-kits for both the rigging stage as well as the animation stage.
An interactive character map allows the user to quickly select certain controls, while a simple button window allows for quick access to commonly used tools.
Extra scripting tools, such as renaming geometry by lots, or quickly creating controls that are pre-constrained to a joint, assisted me durring production
